Each of our rabbis brings a unique set of gifts to serve the congregation’s needs. All have received smichah (ordination) from both the Union of Messianic Jewish Congregations (UMJC) and The Messianic Jewish Rabbinical Council (MJRC).
In addition to our rabbis, our synagogue relies on lay participation in service-leading. Aside from having lovely voices, our shlichei tsibbor (liturgical leaders) bring real spiritual passion to their leading the congregation through Shabbat and Holy Day worship.
Rabbi Nathan Joiner serves the congregation as Senior Rabbi after having served as Associate Rabbi for eight years. He and his wife Raina made Ruach Israel their home as newlyweds.
Rabbi Dr. Richard C. Nichol serves the congregation as Rabbi Emeritus, after having served as Senior Rabbi for almost 40 years. He is currently the president of the Messianic Jewish Theological Institute (MJTI) and past President of the Messianic Jewish Rabbinical Council (MJRC).
