It’s traditional to stay up all night studying the Torah on Erev Shavuot in celebration of the anniversary of the giving of the Torah on Mt. Sinai and the outpouring of the Ruach HaKodesh on the earliest followers of Yeshua in Jerusalem.

 

Shavuot is a two-day Jewish holiday that falls on the Hebrew calendar dates of Sivan 6–7. Here are the coinciding secular dates for the upcoming year:

Shavuot 2026 begins at sundown on Tuesday, May 21, 2025, and concludes at nightfall on Wednesday, May 22, 2026.
